    3. Thank you everyone. My computer gets kind of cranky when it figures I am the problem and not it. My patience isn't the greatest, so I'll dig into something else, while waiting for NSHVS to resume normal operation.;p) Thank you again Juanita ----- Original Message ----- From: "Stanley Beaton" <stanleyb@ns.sympatico.ca> To: "Juanita MacDonald" <joseph000@ns.sympatico.ca>; <ns-cape-breton@rootsweb.com> Sent: Sunday, March 08, 2009 2:29 PM Subject: Re: [NS-CB] Problem with images on NSHVS > Juanita, > > Not downloading for me either, I guess it is on their end and your > computer is safe. > > Stanley >> Sunday, March 8th >> 8:00am - 12:00pm noon Atlantic Due to scheduled maintenance, access >> to www.novascotiagenealogy.com and search results may be intermittent >> between 00:01am and 12:00pm.

    3. Hello all, This is a common problem I have had with the site on Sundays. It usually is up and running later in the day. It wouldn't work for me earlier either. 2. My problem with this site is that it does not show the full length of the document while trying to view it It only shows the middle of the document and would not let me scroll to the bottom or the top.Is this unique to my experience and if so could some knowledgeable soul advise me how to correct this as my computer skills are lacking for want of a better term. Also on my Dell laptop as soon as i try to view an image it crashes. As a Comptuer illiterate any help or suggestions would be welcomed Thanks in advance Rob Lahey > From: joseph000@ns.sympatico.ca > To: stanleyb@ns.sympatico.ca; ns-cape-breton@rootsweb.com > Date: Sun, 8 Mar 2009 14:34:16 -0300 > Subject: Re: [NS-CB] Problem with images on NSHVS > > Thank you everyone. 3. Rob, I have the same problem when viewing in Mozilla, but Internet Explorer behaves as it should. You might try that. I tried downloading the latest version of the viewer, as they suggest, but that made no difference. So I switch to IE whenever I want to use that site, as it's the only way I can see the images. Also on my Dell laptop as soon as i try to > view an image it crashes. What browser are you using? If it is Firefox, whoever should has not made a plugin for Firefox Ver 3.0.x. I have not bothered to find out who as my FF crashes all the time and I have migrated to IE6 for those sites where it will not work. IE should be on your computer so open it up and go to the site and select the record you want to view. View, click on the image to enlarge, use the blue bar to go down the image, then put the cursor on the image and drag it the rest of the way up. If you have problems with FF on other sites like automatedgenealogy contact me off list so we can discuss. I have a Dell Dimension. bob gillis
