If you are asking if he is Trueman, son of Flora Gillis Hunt, then the answer would be NO. Trueman, son of Flora Gillis Hunt, has been residing on the dirt side of the Loch End Cemetery sod since 1993. Alfred, son of Flora Gillis Hunt, has also gone on to his big reward. >There are 4 Hunts in Louisburg per 411.ca. > You named only two of the four Louisbourg Hunts in your above comment. As you may have had a special reason for doing so, I'll follow suit and leave them unnamed. (I would think that one of the unnamed is the son of Alexander Hunt b. 1903). -- Ron

    3. Hello Bob; This entry you listed *** Bessie 1905, married William Henderson Maloney, 1920 *** as being a dau of Charles Alfred Hunt & Florence Gillis. I have in my data base that BESSIE HUNT b. Westmount, CB, NS was the d/o WILLIAM HUNT, Vergo Newfoundland and VICTORIA HARE, which is according to the marriage record on NSARMS Bessie Hunt and William Henderson Maloney married 1920 in Cape Breton County Item can be found in Registration Year: 1920 - Book: 26 - Page: 307 - Number They were married "June 23rd, 1920", St. George's Rectory, Sydney. Witnesses Florence Hunt of Westmount and Frank Bond of Florence, Cape Breton. Performed by Rev. Clement Whalley. If your information is correct that BESSIE HUNT was the dau of "Charles Alfred Hunt & Florence Gillis," I would be interested to know, what information you based this on. Its not that I research Hunts, it is just that WILLIAM HENDERSON MALONEY falls into my search area as he was the s/o "Denis Maloney & Lucy Gwinn" I just happen to like to note the spouces' parents, as I never know when I'll have a need to do a search on them. 3. Juanita, thank you for catching my mistake. This was the only marriage of a Bessie Hunt and time frame was OK for the Bessie dau of Charles and Florence, born 1905. This is a good example of a good reason to not trust the Census info too much. I cannot find any record in NSHVS for Bessie. I will assume she died young and her death was not recorded. I did find Julia Edna Hunt married to Joseph Magee in 1923 and that Charles Hunt was born in Romeo, NF. bob gillis Juanita MacDonald wrote: > Hello Bob; > > This entry you listed *** Bessie 1905, married William Henderson > Maloney, 1920 *** as being a dau of Charles Alfred Hunt & Florence > Gillis. > > I have in my data base that BESSIE HUNT b. 3. You are welcome Bob; I hope you didn't miss this post by Ron McDougall < ronaldmcdougall@prodigy.net> "If I was looking for a husband for Bessie Hunt, daughter of CAH & FG, I'd start with Neil MacKeigan." ..................... I found no marriage record for this couple but did find with my sister's help a Neil MacKeigan on the NSARMS site: Neil Alexander MacKeigan, died 1952 in Glace Bay, Cape Breton County Item can be found in Registration Year: 1952 - Book: 1952 - Page: 4644 - Number His wife was listed a BESSIE MACKEIGAN, Louisbourg. I can't tell you for sure if this Bessie signed by her married name instead of her maiden name or not. Many records where it asks the spouces name, many women used their married name instead of the maiden name. This maybe one of them. Nor can I tell you if this is the "Bessie Hunt" you are looking for. Though we expect primary records to be 100 % accurate, they aren't always. Many records, whether it is a birth, baptism, marriage or death are not always so. It can take a lot of tracking when you suspect a primary record is flawed. It can be done, and of course it can take time and help from others researching the same family. Please don't assume that your "Bessie" died young, it would be far better to note 'no further information' on her, until such time as something becomes available to tell you exactly, when and where she died.
