    3. Hello Bob; I can't give you an estimate on how many people were missed on any given census. I can tell you this though, if you are sure that they are in the given area during the time of a census, it might take a page by page search of the images to find them. I recently was looking for several families, and knew they were in a particular area, and hadn't left it. Neither autogenealogy/archives canada/ancestry indexing had them. It took a page by page search of the area to finally discover them. They were there and under their own names spelled correctly. Everyone had missed the boat on transcribing the names correctly. Thank heaven the eneumerator didn't miss them.
