Coakley,Mrs Mary (60-W), Florence, Jan 18 1940 This community lost another of its older residents in the person of Mrs Mary Coakley who passed away suddenly at 9 am Thursday morning. The deceased, on rising, complained of pain in her head and before medical attention could be secured she passed away. Death was due to a stroke. Born in Margaree Harbor 60 years ago and came to old Number 3 district in 1905, and one year later moved to Florence, where she had resided ever since. For the past 12 years the deceased had been caretaker of the jail and court house. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs Patrick Jessome, Florence; Mrs Stephen McKinnon, Sydney Mines Winnie, Boston; one son, Ambrose, Sydney Mines. Her husband predeceased her by five years. The remains will repose at the home of her daughter, Mrs Jessome until the funeral, arrangements for which will be announced later.
