Jessome,Charles, 87, Pitt Steet, Sydney Mines July 7 1953 Charles Jessome dies in Hosptial Sydney Mines- Well known resident and highly esteemed life long resident of this Northside town, Charles Jessome, 87, passed away in the Victoria General Hospital, Halifax on Monday night and News of his death will be learned of with deep regret by many friends in this district and elsewhere. The deceased had for many years been employed as a miner at Princess Colliery, having been pensioned of some years ago. He had been a patient at Halifax for the past month. The late Mr Jessome was a devout member of Immaculate Conception Church. He is survived by five daughters and three sons. Daughters are Suzie, (Mrs Alex MacKinnon), East Bay Janet, (Mrs Thomas P. Morria), Rockland Mass. Clara, (Mrs Gordon Annesty), North Sydney Mrs bertha Scott, North Sydney Miss Dorothy Jessome, Montreal Sons are Charles, North Sydney Philip residing on Pond Rd Byron at home Also Surviving are Two sisters Mrs James Jobes, Glace Bay Mrs Edward Higgins, Glace Bay Two brothers George in Wisconsin Frank Jessome, Scotch Lake The remains were to arrive here from Halifax last night and funeral arrangement will be announced today. The funeral will take place from late residence on Pitt Steet, with internment to be in St Mary's cemetery Under the direction of George R Francis Funeral Services
