    1. [NS-CB] MacDonald family of Howley's Ferry to Cow Bay then US

    3. Hello List: I am seeking help trying to connect with this early MacDonald family. Keith McDonald, from Nevada, was at the genealogy help centre two weeks ago. He descends from Angus McDonald and his wife Rachel Ferguson who lived at Howley's Ferry pre 1850. I don't know if they ever left that area. In 1866 his son William Alexander McDonald was living at Cow Bay (Port Morien) when his son George William McD. was born Jun. 6, 1866. About 1890 George William McDonald and his wife Ellen (Possibly Bagnell) settled in the US. George William is the grandfather of Keith McDonald of Nevada. If anyone is familiar with this family I would love to hear from you. Thanks in Advance. Maureen McNeil

    3. Hi Maureen, Find attached rtf file which I researched long ago. One of the Fergusons is interesting because he went to South Africa c. 1900 and remained until he died in 1933. Tried to prove he was a veteran of Boer War and could not find data. These Fergusons and MacDonalds lived Calabash Road which is where I am building new house. Hope to be moved before 31 August.
