Born July 29, 1919, passed May 4, 2016 at Taigh Na Mara, DVA wing, Glace Bay. Predeceased by his wife, Margaret, April 2003, his parents Andrew and Lucy, brothers and sisters and great-great-grandson, Connor, Feb. 2008, (New Zealand). Surviving are daughter Gloria and Ernie, their sons Jamie and Jacqui (Danny, Brooke (Sabrina) Hayden and Sinead) all of Australia, Shayne and Lianne (Shea, Seth and Tate), Ontario; son Michael and Carol Anne, their children Stephen and Jennifer (Domenic, Christopher, Rebecca, Nicholas and Tyler), Lynn (Jesse) and Michelle and Ian, all of Glace Bay; daughter Eilene and John (Jonah and Christey), New Brunswick. He was a member of the Queens Own Rifles, OC, serving from 1943 to 1946, during the Second World War. He worked for many years at the Central Shops, Glace Bay. Funeral service will be private.
