Born in North Sydney, he was the son of the late John and Lillian Boutilier. Fred was an avid bowler; he also enjoyed walking with his friends and watching the Blue Jays games. Fred was an ambulance and taxi driver for many years. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 008, Sydney Mines. Fred was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He leaves behind to mourn his loving wife of 23 years, Christena (Halley) Boutilier and his sons, Trevor (Kathleen) Boutilier, Sydney Mines and John (Dawn) Boutilier, St. John’s, NL., his grandchildren, Adrianna, Claire, Charlie; great-grandson, Isaac; brother, John, New Glasgow and many nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles and many friends who will miss him dearly. There will be no visitation. The funeral service will be held on Friday, August 5, 2016, at 2 p.m. in St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, Queen St., Sydney Mines, with Rev. Marion Barclay MacKay officiating. The burial will be in Brookside Cemetery. A light lunch will be served at the Sydney Mines Legion following the service. Lori Jean Hodge Born: September 4th, 1960 Passed in: Ottawa, Ontario, Canada Passed on: July 20th, 2016 Lori was the cherished and beloved only child of Mrs. Joan Brennan, North Sydney. A very active participant in the arts community; she was a musician, singer, songwriter and actress. Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, August 13, 2016, in the Central Chapel of Hulse Playfair, Mc Garry, 315 Macleod St., Ottawa, Ont. Forever remembered and always loved beyond the lines of numbers, mom. “May you sing joyfully in the celestial realm of music and choirs” RODINA MACALLISTER Passed on: February 3rd, 2016 A burial service for Rodina (MacKinnon) MacAllister Age 72 will be held on Saturday, August 6th at 3 p.m. in St. Barra Cemetery, Christmas Island. Rodina passed away February 3rd, 2016 in Ottawa, Ont. Rodina was a graduate of St. Elizabeth School of Nursing, North Sydney in 1966. Rodina was predeceased by her parents, Rod A. MacKinnon and Jean (MacNeil) MacKinnon of Christmas Island. She is survived by her son, Kevin (Angela) and grandchildren Lyall Ambrose, Hannah, Hayley and Dylan and dear sister Joannne Stacey (late Lou Stacey) Reception at the Fire Hall, Christmas Island after the service at the cemetery DOT MACKENZIE August 6th, 2016 A funeral service for Skip and Dot MacKenzie of Baddeck, who passed Nov.9th , 2015, will be held at Greenwood United Church on Aug.6th, 2016 at 3 p.m. with Rev.
