He went to Heaven on June 14, 2016. ‘Little John’ was born in New Waterford Feb. 18, 1972, as a very special gift from God to parents Diane (MacLellan) MacLean and the late John MacLean. Even though John would never speak, his beautiful blue eyes and big smile would light up the room. John was very easy to fall in love with. He truly loved the outdoors, car rides, pizza, pop and popcorn twists as well as spending time with his family and friends. His favourite pastime was watching Spongebob. Left to mourn are John’s best friend, his mom, Diane; sister, Diane Marie (John) Podgurski; his nephew and godson, Johnathan Podgurski and a special aunt in John’s life, Noel, all of Scotchtown. Also left to mourn are many aunts, uncles, cousins, family and friends. John was predeceased by his dad, John A. MacLean, paternal and maternal grandparents, many aunts, uncles and friends - all waiting to hold John in ‘Heaven’. Special thanks to Dr. Peter Littlejohn, staff of New Waterford Hospital (2nd Floor), staff of Harbourstone (3rd floor, Miner’s Lane), Dr. O’Neil, Dr. Naqvi, Palliative Care and the paramedics, for their compassion and care.
