She was the daughter of the late Edgar and Frances (Bridger) Primmer. She is survived by her sister Olive (Gordon) Canning and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Simon Martin, her sisters Lucy Strickland and Helen MacLean, and her brothers Robert, George and Ralph. As per her wishes, there will be no visitation or service. Cremation has taken place. A private family burial will take place at Forest Haven Memorial Gardens. The family would like to take this opportunity to express our sincere thanks and appreciation to the nurses, doctors, and volunteers at the palliative care unit in the Cape Breton Regional Hospital. The care and compassion you gave to Dorothy and her family was exceptional.
