Born in Sydney, Carol was the daughter of the late John and Willena (MacGregor) Morrison. Carol graduated as a registered nurse from the Sydney City Hospital in 1953 and later, was a member and former president of the City Hospital Alumnae Association. Carol was a faithful volunteer for Meals on Wheels, the Canadian Cancer Society, the Heart and Stroke Foundation and the Sydney SPCA, for whom she found homes for rescued dogs. She unselfishly gave of her time to others. Carol and Roy could often be seen delivering baked goods and treats to friends and acquaintances. She was also a founding member of the Open Door Shelter for Homeless Men in Sydney and she was on the executive of the local Christian Women’s Club. Carol’s dedication to her church community can be seen in her service as a Sunday school teacher at St. Andrew’s United Church, a position she held for 25 years. Her generosity and hospitality were well known by friends and family in the Sydney area. Carol and Roy took great delight in seeing others enjoying their swimming pool and the family cottage in Ben Eoin. Carol will be greatly missed by her family and everyone who knew her. She was a cherished mother survived by her daughters, Michele (Lawrence Bates), Dartmouth and Sandra (John MacLean), Cole Harbour. Carol was a loving grandmother to Bree, Halifax, Jamie, Dartmouth, Cailean, Jasper, Alta., Eilidh and Lachlan, Cole Harbour.
