MacNeil We regret to announce the death of Margaret MacNeil of St. Peters, which occurred at the Strait Richmond Hospital on Thursday April 7, 2016. Born in Grand Greve on Oct. 3, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Laughlin and Bessie (Maher) Flaherty. She is survived by her sister, Lexcina (Louis) Groom of Grand Greve; two brothers, Richard (Freda) Toronto, Ont., Donald, Sydney; nieces, Dorothy, Marsha, and Peggy; nephews, Philip, Stephen, Leo and Patrick; many great-grandnieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, William; two brothers, James and John and sister, Mary Cassie. Visitation for the late Margaret MacNeil will be held on Sunday, April 10, 2016 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. in the River Bourgeois Community Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will held Monday, April 11, 2016 at 11 a.m. from St. Peter’s Roman Catholic Church, St. Peter’s with Fr. Antolin Azor officiating. Burial in the parish cemetery at a later date. John Archie Campbell Born In: Sydney Passed in: Sydney Passed on: April 7th, 2016 With broken hearts we, the family, regret to announce the passing of John Archie Campbell, at the age of 78, on Thursday, April 7, 2016 at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney. Born in Sydney, he was the son of the late John A. and Annie May (MacNeil) Campbell. John started his working career in the military, serving overseas in various countries like Egypt, Copenhagen and Denmark. Upon returning to Sydney John was then employed with the Sydney Steel Plant, working in the Coke Ovens. John was a happy, loving caring man that everyone enjoyed to be around, and he will be very missed by family and friends from all over. John Archie Campbell is survived by his daughter, Carmella Macdonald; five granddaughters, Candace Dixon, Robyn Hawco, Sarah Hawco, Samantha Hawco, Sabrina Hawco. John is also survived by his brother, Ernie Campbell and nephew, Blaine Campbell, who he was very close to. Besides his parents, John Archie was predeceased by his loving wife, Cassie Campbell; he was also predeceased by sisters, Aggie MacMullin, Theresa MacPherson, Patricia Chiasson, Alma Jessome, Evelyn Reid, Mona Jackson, Amanda Campbell, Ceceila Campbell; brothers, Cosmos, Norman and Edward Campbell. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of… Sylvia (Colosimo) Wilkinson Born In: Dominion Born: October 16th, 1934 Passed in: Mississauga, Ontario, Canada Passed on: March 30th, 2016 Surrounded by her loving family, Sylvia passed peacefully on March 30, 2016 in Mississauga. Born in Dominion, Oct. 16, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Anthony 'Tony' and Chiarina Colosimo; also predeceased by her loving husband, Geoff Wilkinson, Mississauga; her sister, Mary; brothers, Peter, Mikey and Orlando. She is survived by her cherished children, sons, David and Fabian and her daughter, Laura; her sisters, Norina, Mississauga, Adelina, New Waterford, Candia, River Ryan, Chiarina, Halifax; also her brother, Mario, Dominion. Sylvia loved life, always smiling and a great sense of humour until her final days, a kind heart and feisty spirit, she loved dancing, Bingo, bowling, listening to country music, she never gave up on the Maple Leafs or the Blue Jays. Elvis Shane Grover Passed in: Gatineau, Quebec, Canada Passed on: March 31st, 2016 On March 31, 2016, at the age of 43, Shane passed away peacefully at home in Gatineau, Que. He is survived by his parents, Mel and Angela Grover, Boularderie, N.S.; his brother, Chris, Calgary, Alta. and his loving partner, Allyson and their children, Caitlin and Courtney, Gatineau, Que. Cremation has taken place and a burial will be arranged in Neil's Harbour at a later date. Love you lots Shane xox Florence (Epifano) Marasco Born In: Sydney Born: October 9th, 1922 Passed in: Hamilton, Ontario, Canada Passed on: April 3rd, 2016 With saddened hearts we announce the passing of Florence, age 93, on Sunday, April 3, 2016 at St. Joseph's Hospital, Hamilton, Ont., with family by her side. She was the daughter of the late Dominic and Carmella (Antonello) Epifano. Cherished sister of Tony (Vera) and devoted aunt to many nieces and nephews. Born Oct. 9, 1922, she lived in Sydney until she married Victor and then moved to Hamilton over 70 years ago. Predeceased by her brothers, Nick (Eleanor), Joe (Dora), Louie (Tillie) and Peter in infancy; sisters, Margie (Bill), Lucy (James) and Mary. Celebration of Life took place at Our Lady of Lourdes in Hamilton at a service with her family, Louis (Gianna), Carmella (Joe), Victor (Val), Ann Marie (Rob) and Angel (Tim); 10 loving grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and many family and friends.
