Passed away peacefully at University Hospital, London on Monday, April 18, 2016 at the age of 67 years. Beloved wife of Wayne Taylor. Pre deceased by her parents James and Frances Cantwell and her son Joey. Loving mother to James, Leonard & Tamara Taylor. Cherished grandmother to Jaymi, Ryan, Joey, Victoria, Haley Nicholas, Annette, Christopher, and Faith. Dear sister to JoAnn, Marguerite, Lorraine, Betty Lou, Jim, Frank, Joe, David, John Cantwell. Family was important to Judith and her grandchildren were the light of her life. She also enjoyed going to the Legion and playing darts. Friends will be received at the Ridley Funeral Home, 3080 Lake Shore Blvd. W. Messages of Condolence may be placed at RidleyFuneralHome.com Roy Edward Troke Passed in: Sydney Passed on: April 19th, 2016 With saddened hearts we regret to announce the passing of our dear Roy at the age of 85, on Tuesday, April 19, 2016. The last few days of his life he was surrounded by loving family and friends in the En Cala Unit at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney. He was the son of the late Christina and Gordon Troke of Louisbourg. Roy is survived by his wife, Mary Ann; sister, Gloria and brother, Lawrence, also several nieces and nephews, especially Scott MacLeod. He is also survived by sisters-in-law, Isabel Troke, Annabelle MacLeod, Catherine (Garfield) Cann and Mary MacLeod. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers, Raymond, Kenneth, two brothers in infancy, Joseph and Duncan; sister and brothers-in-law, Agnes Martell, Gordon Troke, Phillip MacLeod, Donald MacLeod and John MacLeod. Roy at the age of 17 went to sea and later became a Merchant Marine. In later years he moved on to the Pulp Mill in Port Hawkesbury, where he was superintendant and from there he moved on to Nova Scotia Power, until his retirement. He was a member of the Merchant Marines, the Branch 12 Legion and the Zion Wesley United Church, Gabarus Lake. In lieu of flowers, donations to Zion Wesley Church, Gabarus Lake. Visitation for Roy will be held today (Thursday, April 21st) from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. in the SW Chant & Son Funeral Home, 564 Alexandra St., Sydney.
