Born July 22, 1964, he is survived by his three children Dylan Jarvis, Quebec, Justin and Chelsea, Toronto and also his siblings Bryan, Charmaine, Maura, Verna, Shane, Lucy, Eddie, Corrie, Judy, Paula, Suzanne, Starr, Bill and their families. Mark was predeceased by parents Eddie and Mary Stapleton and his grandparents. There will be a celebration of his life at a later date. Service to be held at Bocchinfuso Funeral Home, Friday, 2 p.m., 2 Regent St., Thorold, Ont. Do not pray for an easy life, pray for the strength to endure a difficult one. Carole Larade Born In: New Waterford Passed in: New Waterford Passed on: April 24th, 2016 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mrs. Carol Roberta Larade (nee Leudy), age 72, beloved wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother and great-grandmother, on Sunday April 24, 2016, at New Waterford Consolidated Hospital surrounded by her loving family. Born in New Waterford, N.S., she was the daughter of the late John and Marie (Coakley) Leudy. Carol lived most of her life in the town of New Waterford, where she happily married her wonderful husband and raised her son and daughter, as well as spent many cherished moments with her family and friends. She worked as a medical secretary to doctors in Sydney and New Waterford and was very appropriately named Citizen of the Year for her tireless efforts volunteering in every aspect of community life. She loved her life, and her deep faith in God epitomized her love for all people. She will forever be remembered for her laughter, smile, and loving personality. Carol is survived by her treasured soul mate of 48 years, Edward Larade, New Waterford; her son Eddy (Louise) Larade, Pickering, Ont.; her daughter Debbie (Troy) MacDonald, Lingan, N.S.; her grandchildren, Amanda and Lisa and great-granddaughter, Brooklyn; as well as her sisters, Bobbie (Paul) Cross, Miramichi, N.B.; Patricia (Charlie) MacDonald, Shirley Leadbeater, all of New Waterford, N.S.; and her brother, Robert (Beverley) Leudy, Kitchener, Ont. She is also survived by relatives, friends, several nieces and nephews and each of their children, many of whom she is affectionately known to as Nana Carol. Besides her parents, Carol was predeceased by her sisters, Jean Wilson, Laurie McCarthy, Anita Connors, two brothers, Tony and Johnny Leudy. There will be no visitation. The funeral mass of celebration will be held at 1 p.m., Thursday in the Parish of St. Leonard, Mount Carmel Avenue with Fr. Ray Huntley officiating. Cremation to follow with burial in Mt. Carmel Cemetery at a later date. A luncheon will be held at the Knights of Columbus Hall, Plummer Avenue, N.W. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations please be made to the Nova Scotia Organ and Tissue Donation Program Legacy of Life. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of V.J. Online expressions of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.vjmcgillivray.ca. “You have left our lives, but you will never leave our hearts.” Lisa Ann Dowling Born: May 19th, 1974 Passed in: Sydney Passed on: April 19th, 2016 With great sadness we announce the passing of our dear daughter Lisa Ann Dowling who passed away on April 25, 2016 at the Cove Guest Home. She was born in Sydney N.S. on May 19, 1974. Lisa was the daughter of Wayne and Willena (MacKinnon) Dowling. Besides her parents, she is survived by her brother, Wally MacKinnon (Tracy Hogan). She was loved by her two nieces, Laura and Beth and nephew, Lonnie. She left behind two special friends from the Cove, Stephanie and Nichole and all the workers at the Cove. She was predeceased by both grandparents. Cremation has take place. No visitation or church service will take place. A private burial at a later date. Marie (Bagg) Fudge Born In: Cape La Hune Newfoundland Born: September 29th, 1922 Passed in: Louisbourg Passed on: April 23rd, 2016 It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Marie Fudge, age 93 peacefully on Saturday, April 23, 2016 at Harbourstone Enhanced Care, Sydney with her daughter Loretta and son-in-law, Billy by her side. Mom was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Marie was the daughter of the late Hugh and Elizabeth Bagg. She was born on Sept. 29, 1922 in Cape La Hune, Newfoundland. She was the youngest of 11 children. She moved to Louisbourg with her husband Nathan and their two children, Loretta and Nathan, her son Eric was born in Sydney a few years later. Marie was a stay at home wife and mother who loved her family. Mom always had a smile and enjoyed being around people. Marie is survived by her daughter Loretta (Billy) Barter; daughter-in-law, Lilly MacDonald; her grandchildren, Lorrie (Blair) MacGillivary, Jonathan and Sabrina Barter, Conor Barter (Courtney), Alice (Peter) Morse; her great-grandchildren, Morgan, Noah and Coby Barter and Charlie Morse; nieces and nephews, as well as her special niece Shirley (Bob) Miles. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Nathan, sons Eric and Nathan, sisters, Ethel, Maryann, Irene, Elizabeth, Alice, Maude and Julia, brothers, James, Jack and Simon. Special thanks to the nurses and staff at the Northwood Care in Halifax, where mom spent three years there, also to the nurses and staff of the Harbourstone Enhanced Care.Visitation will be held today, (Tuesday, April 26, 2016) from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at St. Bartholomew’s Church, Louisbourg. A funeral service will take place 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 27, 2016 at St. Bartholomew’s Church with Rev. Brenda Drake officiating. Interment to follow in the Church Cemetery in Louisbourg. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of S.W. Chant & Son Funeral Home.
