Hello, I am trying to locate parents for a Mary McKinnon born on August 30, 1873 in East Bay. Her parents are listed as Charles McKinnon and Ann McNeil. Charles is a farmer from East Bay. They were apparently married in 1870 in East Bay. Registration year: 1873; Book: 1803; Page: 202; Number: 559. (https://www.novascotiagenealogy.com/ItemView.aspx?ImageFile=1803-202&Event=birth&ID=13341) I believe Mary McKinnon could be my 2nd great grandmother listed in the death record for Mary McNeil who died on January 8, 1915, aged 43 years, residing at McKeigan's Lane in Glace Bay, Cape Breton. She was married to James "Cooper" McNeil. She was listed as being born in East Bay, Cape Breton. She was Catholic and buried at St. Ann's in Glace Bay. Registration Year: 1915; Book: 24; Page: 88; Number: 526. (https://www.novascotiagenealogy.com/ItemView.aspx?ImageFile=24-88&Event=death&ID=101600) She can be found in the 1901 census family and her birthday is listed as 4th of August 1873: James J. McNeil aged 29 Mary McNeil aged 27 James F McNeil aged 4 Annie M McNeil aged 3 Mary K McNeil aged 9/12 months James McNeil aged 80 (Year: 1901; Census Place: Glace Bay, Cape Breton, Nova Scotia; Page: 14; Family No: 132) On the 1911 census she can be found with her family again and her birthday is listed as August 1874 and living at McKeigan's Lane: James J. McNeil aged 39 Mary McNeil aged 37 Frank McNeil aged 14 Annie May McNeil aged 13 Katie McNeil aged 10 Christena McNeil aged 6 Hector McNeil aged 3 Sybil McNeil aged 1 James McNeil aged 98 (Year: 1911; Census Place: 27, Cape Breton South, Nova Scotia; Page: 16; Family No: 141) I believe that this Mary can be found on the 1891 census with their family name misspelled "McKinon": Charles McKinnon aged 50 Annie McKinon aged 50 Christie McKinon aged 23 Mary McKinon aged 18 Donald John McKinon aged 13 (Year: 1891; Census Place: Sydney Forks, Cape Breton, Nova Scotia; Roll: T-6310; Family No: 142) Any information for parents would be greatly appreciated. I'd love to find her family lines back to Barra if possible on both sides. Thank you, Jessie Ross
