Since I am having so much problems with the archive postings via Rootsweb.com <http://rootsweb.com/>, I have decided to try something a little different. I will continue with the subject line as having the same title & date, but will add the name of the person in the message. This will make more postings for you to receive, but you will have a better choice as to open the message if it’s of interest to you. If you wish to receive all of the obits at once in one message, my suggestion is to get on my BCC list that has no problems. But because you are still on the mailing list, you will also receive the individual messages via the list, which you can ignore. This is only a trial to make sure no one is missed in the archives.

MacLeod Born: September 6th, 1923 Passed on: August 7th, 2017 It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Donald Murdoch MacLeod, age 93, on Monday, August 7, 2017. Donald passed peacefully, with family at his side. Henry David Thoreau once said, "Live your beliefs and you can turn the world around". Born September 6, 1923 in Millville, Cape Breton, he was the son of the late Dan K. and Murdena (Kerr). Whether it was as a fun loving and joking school kid (which never left him), living and thriving on the Mill Pond, a young man who served Canada in the Merchant Marines, or as a loving husband, partner, father and grandfather, Donald always looked for, and found, the good in others (especially children and dogs!!!). Donald was a true example of a gentle man. He loved the sea, and now will return to it. Donald is survived by many who loved him, including his five children, Alan (Theresa), Honey (Bill), Roseann (Dave), Linda (Terry) and Donald (Mary Joan) as well as their mother, Mary Louise (McCarthy).
