I would like to learn more about a Lauchlan Mór MacDonald (or Big Lauchlan) who married Anne MacVicar, a daughter of my great-great-great grandfather, Big Red Neil MacVicar (Niall Ruadh Mór) and his first wife Anna? MacPherson. Neil came from the isle of Vallay near North Uist in the Western Hebrides and settled on Clarke's Road, Catalone in 1830. Lauchlan was perhaps later married to Christine MacDonald, the daughter of Wild John MacDonald. Lauchlan probably also came from North Uist. Lauchlan Mór's sister married another of my gr gr gr grandfathers, Donald Ban MacDonald, who was one of the first settlers from North Uist in Long Beach (near Cow Bay or Port Morien). Donald Ban was the son of Iain Ban and the brother of Donald Og and Wild John, both of whom settled in Catalone. Bob McVicar

Therefore, in order for me to get the obits into the archives and out to you, I have to break them down in parts & this creates more emails to each of you. Therefore, if you want to continue getting the obits in one piece/message, send me an email and I’ll put you on my BCC list that is growing almost daily.  I do send them out daily to the list, but they are not going across the list because of size. This way, you won’t miss anything. The Inverness Oran obits that I send out, aren’t having near as much problem as the Cape Breton Deaths.
