Is there anyone on the list who is connected to the family of Dr William PETRIE, M.D., R.N, wife Elizabeth Agnes ??? I am particularly interested in their daughter Elizabeth Agnes James PETRIE, born Halifax 1819. She married John SIMSON in Sydney, NSW, 1842. The SIMSONs originated from Bowmore, Islay, Scotland - they have connections to CAMPBELLS, MacDOUGALLs back in Scotland I am looking for any connection that might tie either family to the Nova Scotian settlers in Waipu, NZ.
