Hi Judy, I have a Nicholas Rafuse, b. 04-Mar-1809, Lunenburg, he was son of Johann Philip Rafuse (Rehfus), who was b. 11-Jul-1762, Lunenburg Co. This family appears to have originated in Wuerttemberg, Germany. Johann married Anna Barbara Eisenhauer on 08-Dec-1789, Lunenburg Co. Might Daniel have been a brother (or maybe a cousin) to my Nicholas? Nicholas d. 1893, after removing from Chester, Lunenburg Co, to Port George area of Annapolis County. His son, David C Rafuse, b. 1837, d. 1908, m. a Sarah/Sadie (unk). I am not sure why these RAFUSEs appear in my database, as I see no connections to other families of note.
