Sharing a comment from one cousin with Canadian roots, which I think expresses the feelings of many others: *Thank you for sending me the link to the article. The idea that your libraries may suffer this kind of treatment is unconscionable. As one of your now-American cousins, this would seriously affect and maybe destroy the ability of me and my other cousins to research, discover and retrieve our Canadian heritage. My line arrived in Nova Scotia in the 1770s becoming pioneers and builders helping pave the way for Canada's future. Although my grandfather returned to the US in 1903, that little detail has never taken away from my bond to Canada, especially The Maritimes where the family grew and prospered. It is shocking to think that modern-day politicians are even considering the limiting (even reversing) the gathering of historical documents that define the greatness of Canada.
