My interest in the McElmon family is as an historian of Nova Scotia railways. The first Intercolonial Railway bridge over Folly River was called McElmon's bridge, and I'm trying to determine if that's because McElmon was the name of the region at the time, or if one of the McElmon's from Folleigh Mountain/Londonderry built it...any clues?
