As such, there have been some residual blow back into our site with regards to logging into RootsWeb. Problems include a slow connection or saying the login is invalid. Please use the following: 1- If you are having trouble logging into the site, go to Ancestry.com and test your login there. If the login works at Ancestry.com but not at RootsWeb then use the following options. a) Clear your browsing cache and history every time the site gives you an error for your login as there may be continued lag in communication due to the Ancestry.com server problems. Instructions on clearing cache and history http://ancestry.custhelp.com/cgi-bin/ancestry.cfg/php/enduser/std_adp.php?p_ faqid=483 b) Try in a different browser. c) Try again later as the site outages have created an increase in traffic of people trying to log in again. 2- If your login doesn't work at BOTH Ancestry.com and RootsWeb, then the password needs to be reset. You can do so by emailing us or calling 1-800-Ancestry. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- 2 Regular Login Name and Password Disabled: 2012-04-04 The ability to use the change account name or password link on the My Accounts page is not working.
