You will have to drive around the Bay of Fundy; I doubt you can get reservations on the Bar Harbor-Yarmouth ferry at this late date. Minneapolis to Boston is 1400 miles, Boston to Houlton Maine is 370, Houlton to Halifax is probably 250 -300.
