If the duration you will spend most of your time going and coming. >From Buffalo to Nova Scotia It is I-90 to Boston, I-95 around Boston and up to Maine, probably Houlton, then Canada 2 to Canada 1 though NB to NS and Halifax.. You will have to drive around the Bay of Fundy; I doubt you can get reservations on the Bar Harbor-Yarmouth ferry at this late date. Minneapolis to Boston is 1400 miles, Boston to Houlton Maine is 370, Houlton to Halifax is probably 250 -300.
