Henry LEWIS M Male German 32 Nova Scotia Fisherman Church of England Amelia LEWIS M Female German 22 Nova Scotia Church of England Lofly LEWIS Male German <1 Born: Dec; 4/12 Nova Scotia Church of England Now if you go to the Collections Canada site, and search on Lofly Lewis, it will take you to the actual image of the census page, and Lo and behold, that family is Snair. But it was transcribed as Lewis. If you look at that page on the actual images there are a number of Snair families that were transcribed as Lewis.

What I like about the Canada Collections site is that they ask for corrections to be submitted. On the Collections Canada site when I am having trouble finding someone because of a misspelled last name I leave that blank and use only a 1st name and also fill in the area or province that I am looking in. I find that works for me especially if you have an approximate age for the person and better yet if the first name is not that common . Hope this is useful to someone.
