DENSMORE (O'Keefe), Gloria "Joan" - 78, Upper Sackville, passed away May 10, 2007, in the Halifax Infirmary, QEII, with her loving family by her side. Born in Halifax on February 26, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Jean (Murphy) and Timothy O'Keefe. Joan was predeceased by her husband, Rodney, and her brother, Gerald. She is survived by her daughter, Karen (David) Fraser; sons, Dale (Angie) and Darryl (Donna); grandchildren, Ryan, Shawn, Alison, Colin, Alisha, and Bradley; sisters, Maureen, Sharon, Eleanor, and Vera, as well as many nieces and nephews. Special thanks to the nurses and staff at the QEII and Northwood Homecare for their loving care. The body has been cremated under the direction of Cruikshank's Halifax Funeral Home, Robie Street, Halifax. Visitation will be Monday, May 14, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. in Cruikshank's Halifax Funeral Home, Robie Street. Funeral service will be held Tuesday, May 15, at 10 a.m. in the chapel at Cruikshank's with Ron Clark conducting the service.
