Hello Listers, Many thanks indeed to all who sent me so much information yesterday in response to my query aboutTranquil Morvan and his family. I now know much more about him and his parents, earlier marriages, and children. I'm still trying to find out what became of him and his third (?) wife, Elizabeth "Betsey" MacPherson, who married in Halifax in 1910. I think I might have found them at last on the 1911 census in Halifax, listed as Frank and Bessie Mervin (hard to read, but I think that's what it says). Still no death records, and they don't seem to show up in any later U.S. census records. Anyway, thanks again to so many who sent very detailed information, images of records, and so on.
