Hi, I am looking for information on the death in a housefire in the 1950s or 60s of EILEEN BUSS and one of her daughters, either ELIZABETH or SUSAN. They left England in 1948 and sailed to Halifax arriving on 14th August. Eileen was born in 1917 and was originally adopted in Canada by William and Ellen (Nellie) Payne - who returned to England with Eileen in 1922. Eileen married Arthur BUSS who was in the Navy, but Eileen wanted to trace her original birth family, so they returned to Canada where her family had been traced by the Red Cross. Eileen and the girls went to stay with one of her sisters one Christmas and there was a fire. Eileen perished and so did one of the girls, but I don't know which one.
