The Lowell Sun, Lowell, MA., Wednesday, 18 June 1952: MRS. HELEN M. FARMER Mrs. Helen M. (Hartfree) Farmer, 58, died suddenly at her home, 232 Plain Street, last night. She is survived by her husband, Grover C. Farmer; two daughters, Miss Dorothy G. E. Farmer of Lowell, and Mrs. Marilyn E. Steven of Dumas, Texas; a son, Gerald E. Farmer of Lowell; three sisters, Mrs. Clifford Trider of Halifax, Nova Scotia; Mrs. J. Smith of Ontario, Canada, and Mrs. Edward Larocque of Cobalt, Ontario, Canada, a niece and a nephew. She was a member of St. John's Episcopal Church and the Women's auxiliary of the church. Mrs. Farmer was born in Halifax, Nova Scotia, daughter of the late William and Isabelle Hartfree, and had been a resident of this city for the past 30 years.
