Hi: One slight correction, if I may. What appears in the SSDI is not the place of death, but rather the place the last SS check was mailed to, which is presumed to be (but isn't necessarily) that person's residence :-) -----Bob H----- ----- Original Message ----- From: "winston crawford" <iamkac2@worldnet.att.net> To: <NOVA-SCOTIA-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Friday, April 13, 2007 2:59 PM Subject: Re: [NS-L] U.S. DEATH INDEX > Hi > Okay, on this one, I can be something of a resource. My grand-aunt & uncle, both born in NS, were living in Florida in their retirement, after residing most of their married/working life in CT. He died in Florida, and indications were she did as well. Then, her SSDI info made it seem as though she actually died in CT. Several months ago, I tracked down and spoke with both her aged children. Grand-aunt died in Atlanta GA, where son lives. She's buried in CT, as is her husband, where their daughter lives. Toni ~ Ontario
