The first settlement - where climate did not greet them warmly - was at South-West Port Mouton, west of Liverpool. There are small wooden markers to mark the graves plus a descriptive board of the first landing. Several years ago the post office at Port Mouton had a special stamp and envelope -- and yes, I bought same. Basically the small settlement was at the Carter's Beach area, with Wobemkak Beach nearby - all across the bay from where I was born. Muriel M.
