Fred, I searched the 1880 Census on FamilySearch for a William Stewart born Canada in Saginaw County MI and get no matches. Not do I find an Emma Stewart born MI in Saginaw County. The only Emma Stewart with HoH of William was single and in Genesee County What is the source of your information? Lewis marriage record as found on FS? Have you tried to find the william/Emma marriage record or William's obituary?
