My mother died when I was only three years old, my mother's brother's wife who was my Aunt came to take care of myself and my two sisters. She brought my cousin who was her daughter with her. Later she divorced her husband and married my father. Now she went from my Aunt to being my mother and my cousin went from being my cousin to being my sister (we drove the teachers in school nuts because we were close in age and they couldn't figure out how we could be sisters when she was born in Oct and I was born the following April and I wasn't premature and we were not twins) anyway it was great fun. Charlotte, Well, in this case, your Aunt became your step-mother, unless you were adopted, but that would still be her biological connection. Your cousin became your step-sister, no matter if you were adopted by your aunt or not. The question is, did you end up marrying your step-mother's ex-husband's nephew?
