Someone wrote to me recently regarding Harrington in Nova Scotia. I don't have the name they are looking for but thought I'd ask the list. This is all the info they have given me: Frederick Arthur Atkinson b 1924, Sable Island, Nova Scotia {I have not found him via ancestry search; did find the name for someone born 1891 though] Mother: Abbie Jane Atkinson, catholic; no dates or places given Father: Frederick Arthur Harrington The note states the parents didn't marry cause Fred Sr. was not catholic. I have found many Atkinsons in the NS as well as Shelburne Cty. area. Most are baptist. I checked the 1911 NS Census, Shelburne, Sable Island reel T-20364. That is where I found a Fred A. Atkinson b 1891 so it's not the fellow. I also did a search for Abbie just using A since her name could have been Abigail or anything else the used Abbie as a nickname. I'm going to write to the person requesting further info: Abbie's dob/place etc. but thought I'd perk someones interest with what I have so far.
