    3. Hi Jill, I have the 1951 directory for Pictou County towns. It includes no rural areas, only the five towns of Pictou County: New Glasgow, Stellarton, Pictou town, Westville and Trenton. (BTW, the last syllable of Pictou is pronounced "toe", the same as that big thing on the end of your foot.) Four Armstrongs appear in New Glasgow, and here they are: Surname, Given name, employer, home address Armstrong Angus, emp, Mattress Factory, 255 Glasgow Armstrong Harold, (Mary), Salsm Wods, 240 Forbes Armstrong Hazel, Teacher, 314 Washington Armstrong Howard, (Ella), emp NS Steel, 314 Washington One Armstrong is in Pictou town: Armstrong Joseph (Mrs), Carpenter, Elm My guess is that you could find information from the Justice Building in Pictou if you can get someone to go in there and look through estate papers and land transactions for you. I would but I live in Toronto, about 1,600 km. away. Good luck with your search! Rick MacNeil
