Hi All: I have a puzzle that has me stumped, so am hoping someone might be able to help. William Francis SMITH is b. 16 Oct 1871 [NS Births, 1871, book 1810, page 123, #1029] at Bald Rock, s/o Henry and Ann Elizabeth (GRAY) SMITH, who m. 29 Jan 1870 [ibid]. He dies 09 Aug 1954 at Halifax [NS deaths, 1954, book 1954, page 4071]. Now here's the puzzle. On his death certificate, his wife says she is Annie SLAUENWHITE SMITH. However, at this point, I haven't even the foggiest notion who she might be. Either my brain has temporarily ceased functioning, or she is someone I haven't seen before. Either way, if anyone has a clue as to her identity, I would really like to hear from you. -----Bob H-----
