Mrs. Pearl Britton News of the sudden death in Los Angeles, California, of Mrs. Pearl Britton came as quite a shock to her relatives and friends. Last summer she had visited for several weeks in the province and seemed in very good health. She was born August 16th, 1890, the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. George Tufts, Simpson's Corner, Lunenburg County. When a young woman she went to the United States. She married Floyd C. Britton of El Paso, Texas, in 1922. Most of their married life was spent in San Francisco. After her husband's death, she moved to Los Angeles. She lived there about a year before her death. She is survived by one sister (Edna) Mrs. Malby Lutz, Aylesford and four brothers, Heber, Clyde and Cecil, living in Simpson's Corner; Horton in Lynn, Mass. Also surviving are two half-brothers, Fletcher and Dimock. Two sisters predeceased her, (Cynthia) Mrs. Merril Brown; (Ethel) Mrs. Phil Sheridan, both of Somerville, Mass. A cousin, Mrs. Ida Murphy of Los Angeles, attended to the funeral arrangements. Her remains were taken to San Francisco, where the funeral was held. Hello Everyone I am searching for any information about James Peter Strum born in Dartmouth,N.S. sometime between 1838-48. Parents Thomas and Elizabeth Strum. Married Susan Emino Sept. 16, 1902 as a widower. Possibly he had a son George by either Susan or his previous marriage. His death certificate lists him as divorced. I would appreciate any information anyone might have about him or his wife Susan Emino. Another possible name is Susan Bowden/Bawden/Borden who came from Cornwall England with her siblings about 1880. If any of this sounds remotely familar I would love to hear from you Thank you.
