Tuesday, December 13, 1932...The Halifax Chronicle, Halifax, N.S. MRS. AMOS GOODWIN PUBNICO, Dec. 9 - The death occurred today of Minara, wife of Amos Goodwin, Argyle Sound. Mrs. Goodwin has been a patient sufferer for over four months and her health has slowly been failing. Born Clark's Harbor, 72 years ago, Mrs. Goodwin came to Argyle Sound after her marriage 53 years ago and has been a resident of that place since then. Besides her husband, she is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Joseph W. Spinney, Mrs. Richard Goodwin, both of Argyle Sound; Mrs. (Capt. G. F. Dobson), Pubnico; one son, Fred G. Goodwin, a patient at the Chelsea Marine Hospital, Chelsea, Mass. Three sisters, Mrs. Lois Murphy, Mrs. Maime Symonds and Miss Cassie Daley, all residents of Clark's Harbor. Three brothers, John Daley, Clark's Harbor; Jason, residing in Gloucester, Mass.; and James, in Boston. Mrs. Goodwin was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. David Daley, Clark's Harbor, and well known in both Yarmouth and Shelburne Counties. The funeral will be held from the residence on Sunday in charge of Rev. Mr. Hopper of Woods Harbor, pastor of the Baptist church at that place. Interment to take place in the Green Grove Cemetery, at Argyle Sound. Mrs. Goodwin was a member of the Baptist Church at Argyle Sound.
