Yes, they came from New York but that does not mean that they had lived in the Colony of New York. Although I don't have the children of George Horne, I have a connection to the Jacob HORNE genealogy in my search for Alexander Forsyth, apparently a good friend or relative of Jacob Horne [father of George Horne] of that place. Below is the Will [1815] of Jacob Horne, in case you don't have it, in which are listed his children, including George Horne, and witnessed by Alexander Forsyth and William Anderson [Elizabeth Forsyth, a dau. of Alexander Forsyth, m. 1789 Alexander Anderson].
