McDonald: Loyalists who first settled in Shelburne County then moved to Harrigan Cove, Halifax County and stretched to Liscomb Mills, Guysborough County. 3. Fleet and Baker families of Ecum Secum, Halifax and Guysborough County and Marie Joseph, Guysborough County. 4. Appleby family that arrived from Newfoundland and settled in Halifax in the late 1890's. Professionally, I am researching all veterans who were born and/or lived most of their lives in Guysborough County, and who served in Canada or overseas during the First and Second World Wars.
