Hello Everyone, For those who don't know, I am researching the veterans of Guysborough County, NS for a future book. At the moment, I am trying to learn more about Wendell Anderson who served during the Second World War. It is thought that he might have served with the US Army. He is supposed to have been KIA. On the National WWII Memorial website ( http://www.wwiimemorial.com/ ), there are a few Wendell Andersons listed. Is one of them the one I am looking for? Here is what they have on him. Wendell L. Anderson ID: 31363638 Entered the Service From: Massachusetts Rank: Private Service: U.S. Army, 38th Infantry Regiment, 2nd Infantry Division Died: Monday, June 12, 1944 Buried at: Normandy American Cemetery Location: Colleville-sur-Mer, France Plot: J Row: 4 Grave: 6 Awards: Purple Heart Looking forward hearing from anyone related to or who knew of Wendell.
