Hello Phyllis, Again, this Magerin (Mager) name appears early in the NS Tibert family. Maria Elizabeth Mager(in) was the wife of Johannes Diebert (also Teybert). They arrived together on the Pearl in 1752. Along with this couple was a lady, possibly Maria's mother or sister, Maria Rosina Margerin. Maria Rosina died during the first winter in Canada and was not recorded in the Vic List in the spring. Maria Elizabeth, wife of Johannes, died November 30, 1780 in Lunenburg, Lunenburg County, NS [Note #2]. I have noted: her maiden name may be Magerin (the ‘in’ is the feminine form of the name), Mader or Myra since her sister or mother was with them when they came to Canada. NOTE #2: Death date found recorded in the Dutch Reformed Church, Lunenburg, Lunenburg County, NS: “Diebert, Mary Eliz., died November 30, 1780, Lunenburg, wife of John; nee Mader”. I would love to learn more about this woman who started the 'Tibert' clan in Canada. Diana Phyllis Pottle wrote: >Maria Elizabeth Mager was the dau. of Maria Rosina Magerin. Anyone know M.
