Tuesday, January 28, 1947...The Halifax Chronicle-Halifax, N.S. PICTOU, January 27 - Word has been received here by relatives of the death at her home in Vancouver of Mrs. Catherine (Kate) Ann MacKenzie, 89, widow of Captain John MacKenzie. Mrs. MacKenzie previous to her marriage was Kate Fraser of Central Caribou, Pictou County. She is survived by one son, Daniel, New Westminister, B.C., former president of the Canadian Lacrosse Association; one daughter, Belle, Vancouver; a brother, James Fraser, Central Caribou. Mrs. E. Malcolm MacDonald, Pictou, is a niece. The funeral service and interment were at Vancouver.
