    3. Hello Lawrence, The Halifax Public Libraries has the Canadians 1600s-1900s in their reference department. I looked up West Henley and the following was found... Henley West, Jr born about 1792, died 1821. Reference found in Nova Scotia Vital Statistics from Newspapers, 1813-1822 by Terrence M. Punch. We have this resource and the transcription is..(pg 96, entry # 2448, from the Acadian Recorder newspaper, Saturday, October 13, 1821) (+ indicates death) "+ 11, Oct Mr West Henley, Jr., Grafton St., 29". There is also another entry in the Canadians... Henley, West, Sr, born about 1755, died 1825. Reference found in Nova Scotia Vital Statistics from Newspapers, 1823-1828 by Jean M. Holder. We also have this reference and the transcription is (pg 50, entry # 994 from the Acadian Recorder newspaper Saturday, 19 Feb, 1825)... "+ 15 Feb Mr. West Henly [Henley], Sr. 70." We don't have the Acadian Recorder newspaper on Microfilm but the Nova Scotia Archives and Records Management does, and you have the information to request a copy from them online at www.gov.ns.ca/nsarm. We can copy the Vital Statistics transcriptions by Holder and Punch if you wish, for a nominal charge of $5 for photocopies and postage.
