On January 30, 1920 at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Arch JORDAN was destroyed by fire and two children burned to death. The eldest of the four children, 7-year-old Percy carried his baby brother to safety but the others were trapped. ROBERT FRASER, son of Mr. and Mrs. D. W. Fraser was drowned when he was two-years-old in a well near his home in 1920. The eighteen month old son of Mr. and Mrs. HORTON fell into the brook while in flood and perished in 1922. WALTER MITCHELL, swimming near the wharf was drowned in 1932. JAMES BINGLEY was drowned while bathing in the river August 1937. JOHN ARCHIBALD, 12-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. D. J. Archibald, of Stillwater was drowned while fishing from a boat in 1945. --
