Hello All, After 4 years of family research, I am finally planning to visit Nova Scotia in September. In my ancestry of the Card and Burgess families, I keep running into reference to the Card Family Cemetery. Does anyone have an idea where this might be located? Most of my ancestors are from the Summerville, Hantsport, and Hants County areas. Thank you for any help you can provide. Sincerely, Barbara Gosse

Hi Barbara, There are two Card Cemetery listings in Hants County, although they may in fact be the same one. The first is shown as being at Red Bank Road, Centre Burlington. The second is (was) near the river bank in a farmer's field. Many years ago the stones were gathered up and thrown into the river. Guess the farmer at the time needed that few hundred square feet of land. We are doing better at these things today. Let me know when you are coming to NS and I will be pleased to guide you through some of the Card and Burgess records at the West Hants Historical Society.
