I have only just become aware of the latest dirty trick that the above mentioned "newspaper" has played on the genealogical community. It is a bit worse than I figured. You see, my partner in genealogical crime, my mother, passed away a year ago, and I found it difficult to think about our grand project and have avoided it for almost a year. It still is hard to go on because I see all of her work and remember all of the great quests and discoveries we made and still have to make. I was keeping close tabs on the people of Meteghan, Digby Co. I don't know if there are others who have been interested in this same area who might be willing to share obits from the last year, primarily of Acadians in Clare, with me. I wrote a nasty letter to the "newspaper" but of course, we all know that the newspaper format is doomed like the abacus and if the Chronically Horrid thinks they can put that off by charging genealogists for obits, they are more dillusional than I thought. Grumpily yours Paul
