    3. Eastern Chronicle, New Glasgow, N.S., Tuesday, 03 Nov 1942: Early Aberdeen Graduate Dies In New York The death took place at her home in Brook Haven, Long Island, N.Y. recently of Miss Janie England. She was a graduate of Aberdeen Hospital in 1904 in its second class and under the Superintendence of Miss Jessie Sheraton. She was a daughter of Rev. E.E. England, who was Methodist minister here at the time of her studies and graduation and Mrs. England who was formerly Miss Agusta Woodman of Wolfville, where she had a large family connection. After graduating Miss England went to New York and there took post graduate courses in some of the larger hospitals and as a result coupled with her natural ability she held many important positions in the New York Hospital world. Some years ago with an associate nurse who also had a prominent career she retired to a beautiful home they had purchased in Long Island and there spent happily her remaining years, passing away at the age of 64. Many in New Glasgow will recall Janie England as a young nurse and testify to her skill and popularity. She is survived by one brother Dr. Harry England, School Inspector of Montreal.
