Malcolm fraser, R.C.A.F., arrived home from England. He will be an instructor in Canada. The Flight Sergeant is a son of Mr. and Mrs. R.D. Fraser. He enlisted in the 86th Battery, R.C.A., Sept.3, 1939 and afterwards joined the Air Force. For two years he was attached to the R.A.F. in England, and made 17 bombing flights over Berlin, Stettin and other enemy targets. A year ago, still attached to the R.A.F., he was transferred to Malta, most bombed spot in the world. He was there during the prolonged combined German-Italian blitz, when "Malta was bombed practically all the time". The anti-aircraft defences of the island, only sixty miles from the menacing bases at Sicily, are the best in the world, the flight sergeant said. During his service in Malta he engaged in 28 operational bombing flights over Italy, North Africa and Greece attacking land targets and enemy convoys over the Mediterranean. After a short time one of his crew mates was Sergeant Air Gunner Joseph Duprey, Westville. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Carolyn Wallace
