Hi Ingrid I don't have obits on the parents but here are two more of the children: Douglas Bernard Aker, 67 of St. Stephen, NB, passed away unexpectantly at Saint John Regional Hospital on Friday February 23, 2007. Born in Windsor, NS, he was the son of the late Robert and Violet (Matheson) Aker. He is survived by his loving wife, Darlene (Gillis), two wonderful sons, Gordie Aker of St. Stephen, NB and Tony Aker of Fredericton, NB, two brothers, Robert Aker of Newport Station, NS, and Walter (Mutt) Aker of New Ross Road, Hants County, NS, three sisters, Ruby Barker of Pembroke, Ontario, Minnie (Calvin) Riley of Three Mile Plains, NS and Juanita (Toot) Davidson of Port Williams, NS. He is also survived by his much loved mother and father-in-law, Doris and Mike Gillis of St. Stephen, NB, many nieces, nephews and friends. Doug was predeceased by his parents, 4 sisters, Doris, Pauline (Mrs. Cecil Briggs), Goldie (Mrs. Malcolm Redmond) and Mary (Mrs. Veron Redden), 5 brothers, Gordon, George, Lawrence, Ralph and Edgar. Doug was a member of the Canadian Armed Forces for 26 years, then worked as a rural route mailman and with the Corps of Commissionaires. There will be no visitation by request. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the St. Stephen’s Roman Catholic Church, Milltown Blvd., St. Stephen, NB on Tuesday February 27, 2007 at 10:30 AM. Interment at Milltown Roman Catholic Cemetery. In Doug’s memory, donations to the St. Stephen’s Roman Catholic Church or charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family. She is survived by her husband, Malcolm A. Redmond; daughter, Lynn and Ben Goguen, Fredericton, N.B.; sisters, Minnie Riley, Windsor; Ruby A. Barker, Petawawa, Ont.; Juanita Davidson, Windsor; brothers, Robert Aker, Windsor; Walter Aker, Windsor; Douglas Aker, St. Stephen, N.B.
