    3. I am interested in the father of WIlliam Henry Tremain Somers, of Shinimicas, NS. I have WHT Somers' marriage from a record in the Daniel Johnston archives at PANB He (the father) may have been the partner of WHT Sumner of Moncton, NB, the contractors who built a portion of the railway between Truro and Folly Lake before having the contract taken from them for non-performance. The son may have been named in honour of William Henry Tremain(e) of Truro, NS, who was the government's district engineer for all of Nova Scotia at the time (ca. 1867-1871) Any assistance greatly appreciated Jay Underwood Elmsdale NS >From Jay Underwood and Railfare*DC Books "Ghost Tracks": http://www.railfare.net/Ghost%20Tracks.html "From Folly to Fortune": http://www.railfare.net/FromFollyToFortune.html "Built for War": http://www.railfare.net/builtforwar.html

    3. I have located the father, Daniel Somers, d. 1909 Amherst Head NS. Mother was Cynthia. Now I have to tie him to WHT Sumner, or my thread fails and I go back to the start line! :-) Jay Underwood Elmsdale >From Jay Underwood and Railfare*DC Books "Ghost Tracks": http://www.railfare.net/Ghost%20Tracks.html "From Folly to Fortune": http://www.railfare.net/FromFollyToFortune.html "Built for War": http://www.railfare.net/builtforwar.html ----- Original Message ----- From: "Jay Underwood" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Thursday, April 15, 2010 5:17 PM Subject: [NS-L] WH Tremain Somers >I am interested in the father of WIlliam Henry Tremain Somers, of >Shinimicas, NS.
